  • Clinton Lake dam road closure related to COVID-19

    The road across Clinton Dam (E 900 Road) will be closed as of 9:00 a.m. on April 7, 2020, until further notice due to unsafe gatherings and parking conditions near the south end of the dam. This decision was made in conjunction with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department with the safety of our visitors and community in mind.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in coordination with the Crow Creek Sioux and Lower Brule Sioux tribes are closing the boat ramps near Big Bend Dam, near Fort Thompson, South Dakota, effective Friday.
  • Chittenden Locks large chamber reopens

    SEATTLE -- The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks large chamber opened for vessel traffic 11 a.m. April 1 after completing construction of the Stoney Gate Valve Project second phase three days early.
