Invasive Species Week
More than 100,000 trees in the Omaha area could potentially be affected if infested by invasive Emerald Ash Borer. The ribbons, placed through a program at the Univeristy of Nebraska Lincoln are aimed at informing the public about the threat of invasive species such as the Emerald Ash Borer. The ribbons say "This is one of over 100,000 ash trees that will die from Emerald Ash Borer in our city.
