Proposal for Gavins Point Dam underseepage control measures available for public comment

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, is seeking comments on a draft environmental assessment for a proposal to implement additional underseepage control measures at Gavins Point Dam near Yankton, South Dakota. Comments on the draft EA will be accepted until May 27, 2020.

Draft Environmental Assessment on Snow and Soil Moisture Monitoring Network in the Upper Missouri River Basin available for comment

A draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for updating three soil moisture and plains snowpack monitoring stations is currently available for public comment. The EA evaluates the environmental impacts of updating monitoring stations in Brookings, South Dakota; Sheridan, Wyoming; and Bozeman, Montana. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than February 10, 2020.
