System storage is 67.8 MAF; 11.7 MAF of the 16.3 MAF of flood control storage is occupied. About 28% of the flood control storage remains available to store runoff. According to the NOAA CPC one-month outlook updated yesterday, there are increased chances for above-normal precipitation throughout most of the Basin during July (upper right graphic). The mountain snowpack continues to melt and result in increased inflows into Fort Peck and Garrison (lower right graphic). The next Missouri River Basin update will be on Monday, June 24. Gavins Point releases are currently 75,000 cfs. The updated 3-Week Forecast indicates releases will be reduced to 70,000 cfs next Thursday, June 27.
