System storage is currently 60.4 MAF, 4.3 MAF above the base of the Annual Flood Control and Multiple Use Zone. Fall public meetings will be held throughout the Basin November 6-9. See our press release for details regarding times and locations. Per the latest drought monitor, there are D0 to D1 drought conditions remaining in every Basin state except Nebraska and Iowa. Areas of D2 to D3 drought conditions are present in North Dakota. Project releases will be above average through November to evacuate the bulk of the stored flood waters before we reduce to winter releases. Flow support for navigation will be extended 10 days, ending December 11 at the mouth.
