  • Dworshak Dam postpones opening campgrounds

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Dworshak Dam Ranger staff announces that Dent Acres campground, as well as Canyon Creek and Dam View campgrounds will not open for the season in April as planned. Due to minimum staffing and for visitor safety during this COVID-19 outbreak, Dworshak staff has been directed to postpone opening the campgrounds until a later date. At this time, we cannot give a specific date when the campgrounds will open.
  • 20-014 Clarkston Natural Resources Office restricting access

    Clarkston, Wash. – The Lower Granite Natural Resource Management (NRM) staff will be restricting access to their office in Clarkston in response to the COVID-19 situation.
  • 20-013 Corps closing all Walla Walla District Visitor Centers

    Walla Walla, Wash. –At this time, the Corps of Engineers will close all Visitor Centers in the Walla Walla District.
  • Navigation locks on Columbia, Snake rivers to close March 2 for annual maintenance

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct routine annual inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs at all navigation locks on the Columbia and Snake rivers March 2-17.
  • Corps gears up for transition to summer fish operations

    This month the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will transition to summer operations for fish. Beginning on June 16, USACE will begin summer spill for fish at Bonneville, The Dalles, John Day and McNary dams while the lower Snake River dams will transition to summer spill operations on June 21.
