PRSA Silver Anvil Awards
On the evening of June 7, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was recognized with both a prestigious Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil Award and a PRSA Award for Excellence at the PRSA Silver Anvil Awards Ceremony in New York City. Northwestern Division's Missouri River Joint Information won the Silver Anvil Award for crisis communications work on the Missouri River Flood of 2011. Headquarters received an Award of Excellence for crisis communications work during flooding on the Mississippi River during 2011. The Silver Anvil Award is the PR industry's most prestigious honor. It recognizes the highest level of achievement and is the established icon of "the best of the best" in public relations practices. The Award for Excellence, another prestigious honor, also acknowledges superior achievement.
