My mom, Kelly Crane, worked for the Omaha District for 35 years and was on the Federal Women’s Program.
This organization of women worked with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers leadership to help ensure equal rights for Women at USACE.
The group was involved in getting the daycare established in the Zorinsky Federal building in Omaha, Nebraska. This was a great advancement for working women.
I was able to have my own children enrolled in the daycare and this was a very important benefit to me and my family. The convenience of having them with me, and getting to spend my lunch time with them, was very special and are memories I will never forget.
