Corps invites public to Missouri River operations meetings

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Missouri River Basin Water Management Division will hold five public meetings in early April to update stakeholders on current hydrologic conditions and the planned operation of the Mainstem Reservoir System.

The public meetings will include a presentation from USACE regarding operations and plans for managing the reservoir system in 2015, followed by a question and answer session. There will also be an opportunity for members of the public and stakeholders to speak one-on-one with USACE officials. 

The public meetings will be conducted at the following times and locations: 

Pierre, SD

  • Tuesday, April 7

  • Capitol Lake Visitor Center
  • 500 E. Capitol Ave.

Bismarck, ND

  • Tuesday, April 7
  • Start time: 6 p.m.
  • Bismarck Civic Center

Fort Peck, MT

Smithville, MO

USACE is congressionally authorized to manage the six dams on the Missouri River for the benefit of the American people serving flood control, navigation, hydropower, irrigation, water supply, water quality control, recreation, and fish and wildlife.
