Antiterrorism and Operational Security Training

Antiterrorism Awareness Month: See something, say somethingU.S. Army policy requires integrating Antiterrorism, Operations Security, and Controlled Unclassified Information training into the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers acquisition process. This information aids contractors in meeting mandatory AT/OPSEC requirements.

Contractor and associated sub-contractor employees shall comply with applicable installation/facility access and local security policies and procedures (provided by government representative) in accordance with installation, facility, and area commander requirements.

Force Protection Conditions may change at any time and may require changes in contractor security matters, site access, or processes.

If required by contractual agreement, all contractor employees and associated subcontractor employees requiring access to installations, facilities, and controlled access areas, shall complete the following training:

Once training modules are completed, email certificate(s) or proof of completion to the designated Contracting Officer. Remember, certificate(s) or proof of completion is required to meet contract obligations.

Mandatory AT/OPSEC Training Modules

Level 1 Antiterrorism Training will increase your terrorism threat awareness and ability to apply personal protective measures. It also provides links to resources for future use. This training, sponsored by the Joint Staff in coordination with the Military Services, meets annual requirements prescribed by DoDI 2000.16. and OPORD 2013-74. 

For Common Access Card holders:
  • Click the "Show Training in Catalog" button, then click OK in the DoD Warning Banner. Then, on the right side of the screen, click "Login using my CAC/VA PIV".
  • Select your Authentication Certficate and click "OK". 
  • Type in your PIN and click "OK"
  • The course catalog should open listing "JS-US007 Level 1 Antiterrorism Awareness." If not, enter "Level I Antiterrorism" in the course name field.
  • Ensure you select "JS-US007 Level I Antiterrorism Awarness" ATRRS DL Points and click the "Enroll" button.
  • When the Academic Integrity Notice popup appears, click the Acknowledge button.
  • Click Launch start the course.

Be sure to save your completion certificate.

iWATCH, iREPORT, i KEEP US SAFE (iWATCH ARMY) is a program and partnership between your community and local law enforcement to help your neighborhood stay safe from terrorist activities. 

iWATCH ARMY asks: If you "See Something, Say Something." by reporting behavior and activities that are unusual or seem out of the ordinary.

What should you report?

Give as many details as you can such as: 

  1. The date and time.
  2. Where it happened.
  3. What you witnessed.
  4. A description of how many and who was involved
  5. Male or female?
  6. How tall?
  7. Build?
  8. Hair color, skin color, tattoos, age?
  9. English speaking or another language?
  10. Was there a car? Note the license plate number.
  11. Have you seen this activity in your neighborhood before?

All information will be kept confidential. Information submitted will be carefully assessed and, if warranted, investigated by trained investigators. A web-based course providing Operatioal Security awareness for military members, government employees, and contractors. The course provides information on the basic need to protect unclassified information about operations and personal information to ensure safe and successful operations and personal safety.

Completing this course “As is” does not satisfy all DOD policy requirements for initial or annual OPSEC Training.  Initial and annual OPSEC Training must include training on your organizational-specific critical information as well.

All DOD civilian, military, and contractor personnel must complete initial and biennial refresher Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) training. The Center for Development of Security Excellence CUI course is the official DOD training course and is strictly mandatory for fulfilling the initial training requirement. For the biennial refresher training, this course is available and authorized for use, but it is not explicitly required.

This information does not meet the criteria for classification but must be protected. CUI is a uniform control marking on sensitive information across the Federal Government replacing various agency-specific markings, such as FOUO, LES, SBU, etc. It is U.S. Government-created or owned UNCLASSIFIED information that allows for, or requires, safeguarding and dissemination controls in accordance with laws, regulations, or Government-wide policies.

E-Verify+ streamlines employment eligibility verification by combining the Form I-9 and E-Verify into a seamless digital process.

When employers – and the employees they hire - complete the Federally required Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, they play an important role in verifying employees’ identity and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Through E-Verify, an employee’s Form I-9 information is compared with records available to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration, giving added assurance that the Form I-9 information is true and accurate. 

Required employees must complete this process and send certificate(s) to the designated Contracting Officer.
