I applied for the intern program because I have wanted to join the program since I toured Lower Granite Dam as a senior in high school. I wanted to be apart of a program that allows me to work with cool equipment and great people.
Being an intern provides me the opportunity to use the knowledge I have gained from my college classes and apply it to real world applications. The projects that I have been apart of use a wide range of the classes I have taken in college. This allows me to better the skills I have gained in school while learning new ones.
This opportunity has made me a better engineer and provides me learning experiences to grow. The benefit of being a hydropower intern includes time to learn how to become a successful maintenance engineer.
