Sustainable Practices

The US Army Corps of Engineers was a member of the Federal Network For Sustainability for many years, until it's recent replacement with more national groups - see the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive's website for more information about current government sustainability efforts. Our sustainable efforts continue under this newer, broader organization.

A portion of our support for the FNS included maintenance of their website, which is now gone. The FNS hosted a newsletter archive on their site, entitiled "Sustainable Practices". This newsfeed is prepared by David Schaller, a former EPA Region 8 sustainability coordinator who has since retired and moved to Arizona, where he continues his sustainability efforts. His Sustainable Practices Newsletter covers broad areas of sustainability and can now be found at http://www.sustainablepractices.info.
