  • Missouri River Committee seeks input on charter amendments

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division, on behalf of the Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee, referred to at MRRIC, seeks input to proposed amendments to its charter. The Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee reached tentative consensus on the following proposed amendment to its Charter, originally approved on July 1, 2008. The draft amendments were posted to the MRRIC website on Jan. 12, 2022. Comments must be submitted not later than Feb. 12, 2022.
  • Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee to Meet in Omaha

    The Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC) will hold its 38th meeting here Aug. 8-10, 2017. The meeting will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Downtown, 1616 Dodge St., Omaha, NE 68102, beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, and concluding at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10. The draft MRRIC meeting agenda can be found online at www.MRRIC.org.
  • Corps incorporating draft MRRMP EIS public comments, preparing biological assessment

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reviewing comments received regarding the draft Missouri River Recovery Program-Environmental Impact Statement as it moves toward preparing a final EIS which is anticipated to be released in summer 2018. “Public comments are a crucial element in developing the final EIS and record of decision,” said Maj. Gen. Scott A. Spellmon, commanding general, Northwestern Division, USACE.
  • Tribal Members of MRRIC Continue Review of Draft EIS, Recommend Extended Review

    MRRIC met in Kansas City, Mo., Jan. 31-Feb. 2 to discuss the Missouri River Recovery Program’s (MRRP) draft Missouri River Recovery Management Plan-Environmental Impact Statement that was released in December by the Corps. An accompanying Adaptive Management (AM) Plan serves as the framework for implementing action described in the EIS. Seven Tribes from the Missouri River Basin were represented.

    Omaha, Neb. - MRRIC will hold its 36th meeting in Kansas City, Mo., Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2017. The meetings are open to the public; members of the public will have an opportunity during each daily session to address the committee and the lead federal agencies – the Corps and the Fish and Wildlife Service – regarding the Missouri River Recovery Program.
