Missouri Basin Update March 26, 2019
System storage is 58.9 MAF; 2.8 MAF of the 16.3 MAF of flood control storage is occupied. More than 80% of the flood control storage is available to store runoff this spring and summer. Heavy plains snowpack still remains in North and South Dakota (upper right graphic), but has started melting and is expected to continue over the next week. Click here to see the MBRFC flow forecasts. Mountain snowpack is about average. Soils are very wet in the Dakotas and across the entire lower Basin (bottom right graphic).
