Missouri River update March 17, 2019
System storage is 56.6 MAF; 0.5 MAF of the 16.3 MAF of flood control storage is occupied. About 97% of the flood control storage is available to store runoff this spring and summer. The National Weather Service river forecasts are indicating very high flows and stages throughout the lower Basin. Click here for their forecasts. Gavins Point releases were reduced from 73,000 cfs to 63,000 cfs last evening (Saturday), and reduced to 53,000 cfs this morning (Sunday).
